Julia Fischer-Mackey, PhD, Founder

Julia Fischer-Mackey, PhD, is an interdisciplinary social scientist, facilitator, and evaluator with two decades of experience leading research, evaluation, capacity building and organizational learning to advance social justice. She has deep knowledge of subjects including environmental politics and justice, health equity, decolonial social and economic justice movements, food systems, and the role of citizen activism in government transparency and accountability. She has worked closely with social justice advocates and allies on four continents and is excited to bring her justice-focused research and learning expertise to new partners.

Julia received her PhD and MPhil in International Relations, with a focus on Environmental Politics, from American University's School of International Service. She received her MA in Environment, Development and Policy from the University of Sussex (UK), and her BA in African and Latin American History from Brown University.
